College baseball opening weekend schedule: Best games to watch

The 2022 college baseball season is set to start. Here are the games you should check out on Opening Day and beyond.

It’s officially Opening Day. Well, kind of. Not for MLB, but rather college baseball gets started up this weekend.

While the folks at the big leagues continue to try and figure out how to navigate some very frustrating negotiations, many fans are missing out on watching baseball. Thankfully, college baseball (and college softball) still exist and are good to go.

The college softball season started a little over a week ago while college baseball gets underway today.

Here are the games you should check out this weekend.

State Farm College Baseball Showdown

  • Friday, Feb. 18 at 3 p.m. CT – Arizona vs. Kansas State
  • Friday, Feb. 18 at 7 p.m. – Michigan vs. Texas Tech
  • Saturday, Feb. 19 at 3 p.m. – Texas Tech vs. Auburn
  • Saturday, Feb. 19 at 7 p.m. – Oklahoma vs. Arizona
  • Sunday, Feb. 20 at 10:30 a.m. – Auburn vs. Kansas State
  • Sunday, Feb. 20 at 2:30 p.m. – Arizona vs. Texas Tech
  • Sunday, Feb. 20 at 6:30 p.m. – Michigan vs. Oklahoma

But if that doesn’t interest you and you’d like to to watch a more conventional series featuring the defending national champs, get your eyes on Dudy Noble Field and watch Mississippi State face Long Beach State.
