The Genesis Invitational at Riviera Country Club is one of the PGA Tour’s premier events of the season and we look at the purse and payouts for the tournament.

When you think about the strongest fields, best courses, and overall best tournaments on the PGA Tour, the Genesis Invitational is always at the top of the list. It’s a tremendous test at Riviera Country Club — or at least it normally is.

The 2022 Genesis Invitational has been dominated from start to finish by Joaquin Niemann. The young Chilean entered Sunday with a 54-hole lead and looking for a wire-to-wire victory. In fact, the final round saw Niemann with just one player (Cameron Young) within five strokes of him.

With that being said, this is the type of golf course, especially when they bake out the greens given the tight putting surfaces and requirement for accuracy off the tee, where anything can happen on Sunday. That’s especially true with guys like Justin Thomas, Viktor Hovland and Collin Morikawa in striking distance if Niemann dropped back to the pack.

Once again, Riviera has delivered. But what will the Genesis Invitational payout deliver the players? Looking at the $12 million purse for the event, here’s how it’s divided among the top 65 players who made the cut.
