Green Bay Packers linebacker Za’Darius Smith posted a cryptic tweet which is getting fans nervous.

The Green Bay Packers are heading into an all-important offseason to try and get quarterback Aaron Rodgers to return for next season and possibly beyond. But, they are significantly over the cap with star wide receiver Davante Adams hitting free agency. That means there could be some tough decisions made by Green Bay’s front office.

On Monday night, linebacker Za’Darius Smith posted a cryptic message on Twitter of the eyeballs emoji. He posted the exact same message this past Friday.

Packers: Za’Darius Smith posts cryptic message on Twitter

For the past year, Smith has been listed as a potential cap casualty by the team. He is set to enter the final season of his four-year, $66 million contract, where he carries a $27.7 million cap hit. If the Packers are to release him, they will free up $15.3 million in cap space but eat $12.4 million in dead money, per Spotrac

Signing back in 2019, Smith helped solve Green Bay’s pass rushing woes, as he was named to the Pro Bowl in his first two seasons with the team. However, Smith was limited to just one game this past regular-season as he dealt with a back injury.

In his three years with the team, Smith recorded 108 combined tackles (29 for loss), 60 quarterback hits, 26 sacks and five forced fumbles.

The Packers are certainly going to be the team to follow this offseason, especially when it comes to Rodgers and Adams. But it will remain to be seen what happens with Smith as well.
