3. Carlton Davis

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been pretty successful over the past few years and one of the young, improving stars from the Buccaneers roster might end up on the free agency market. Carlton Davis is definitely a cornerback that teams should pursue in free agency this year.

At just 26 years old, Davis is still pretty young and should have plenty of career left up ahead of him.

During the 2021-2022 season, Davis recorded 39 tackles and an interception during the regular season. So far in his career, Davis has played in 51 regular season games and has six interceptions to his name to go with 207 tackles in the regular season.

2020-2021 was probably the best season of Davis’ career so far. In addition to winning a Super Bowl, Davis also recorded four regular season interceptions and had 68 tackles.

Pretty respectable numbers, all things considered.

But while Davis is young, there are some things interested parties might want to keep in mind should they look his way. Davis hasn’t played a full season just yet. In the four seasons he’s been in the NFL, Davis has never played in more than 14 games during any given season.

If he can stay healthy and can continue to improve, then Davis could be a solid option for several franchises.
