The UConn women’s basketball team is getting some great news as Huskies star Paige Bueckers is set to return after recovering from surgery.

If you’re a women’s basketball fan, then you’re probably thrilled that one of the best college stars is getting set to return from an injury. UConn women’s basketball star Paige Bueckers is prepared to make a return to action after knee surgery.

UConn announced that Bueckers would be back with the perfect hype video to celebrate her return from injury.

Check out that video highlighting Bueckers’ return:

UConn women’s basketball: Paige Bueckers making monumental return from injury

Bueckers is making a return to action after some pretty scary surgical action.

There are a lot of very big medical terms going on in that tweet. Basically, it more or less means that Bueckers had surgery in her injured knee to repair some damage that includes a broken bone and some connective tissue that was injured.

Surgeries aren’t fun! Surgeries that result in weeks (or months) of physical therapy and painfully intense recovery processes are especially not fun!

But it looks like Bueckers was able to get through surgery and make a pretty quick recovery. It’s not clear what she’ll be able to do or how great she’ll be as she returns to the Huskies, but any return is better than no return (assuming that Bueckers is fully healthy, that is).

Bueckers will make her return Friday evening as UConn hosts St. John’s. Bueckers being able to return right before the Big East Women’s Basketball Tournament should give her some time to get up to speed as UConn prepares to make a run in the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament.
