This Clemson fan thinks Kirby Smart sold his soul for wins at Georgia in a message board post.

Some Clemson fans are not taking the success Kirby Smart had has in recent years at Georgia very well at all.

One fan posted on a message board that he believes the Georgia head coach literally sold his soul for wins. He said Smart would do anything to win at all costs before throwing tight end transfer Arik Gilbert under the bus for some reason. This latest message board rant went over poorly and all of Dawg Nation is ripping this Clemson fan relentlessly for not getting that he does not get it.

Smart is proof of what happens when the right head coach ends up at the right place at the right time.

There is a reason why Georgia is considered a college football blue-blood. The Dawgs have great facilities, a passionate fanbase, rich boosters and a deep recruiting base. Georgia should go 10-2 annually, but with the right head coach, the Dawgs can contend for and win national titles. This is what happens when that guy happened to play at the same school where this is entirely possible.

Smart played for Georgia in the mid-1990s. After serving on Nick Saban’s staff at Alabama, he took what he learned from the greatest college football coach ever and applied it to his alma mater, helping Georgia go from good to great. The Dawgs are set up for success now and in the future because all the stars have aligned in the Classic City for Coach Smart and Dawg Nation.

As for Clemson, the Tigers have been operating at their zenith under Dabo Swinney. They can still contend for and win national titles under him out of the ACC. However, the minute traditional conference powers like Florida State and Miami get it right, Clemson will pull back a tad. Mike Norvell may not be the guy in Tallahassee, but Mario Cristobal has returned to Coral Gables.

Smart is one of the best head coaches in the Power Five, so no, he did not sell his soul for wins.
