Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors called out Los Angeles Lakers fans for booing LeBron James.

The Los Angeles Lakers were expected to contend for the NBA Championship this season. Currently, the Lakers are clinging to a play-in tournament spot. Fan frustration is evident at home games, with those in attendance booing the team, including star LeBron James.

In the latest episode of “The Draymond Green Show,” Green called out “spoiled” Lakers fans for booing James. You can listen to his comments in the video below, which begin at the 8:30-mark.

"“To get booed by your own fans is very distasteful and disgraceful. I was shocked to see that,” said Green, h/t The Big Lead. “I thought that was pathetic. I thought that was extremely pathetic, and like I said I thought it was extremely distasteful from the fanbase of an organization that has the most championships in the NBA. Let’s not be so like spoiled brats. You can 100 percent be spoiled, we all get spoiled by things at times at one point in our life or another, but let’s not be brats. And that was about as bratty as something I’ve seen, considering that this team just won a championship not even a full two years ago! And now you’re booing? I thought that was utterly ridiculous.”"

Lakers fans have grown impatient with the team’s struggles. They are two seasons removed from an NBA Championship victory inside the Orlando bubble. That was followed up by a first-round exit at the hands of the eventual Western Conference Champions, the Phoenix Suns. This year, the Lakers have to fight tooth and nail to even make the playoffs, given the crowded picture in the conference.

In Los Angeles’ Feb. 28 home game against the New Orleans Pelicans, fans were loudly booing at the team’s performance. James, Russell Westbrook and members of the Lakers bench were spotted chirping back at heckling fans.

Following their March 2 loss to the Dallas Mavericks, the Lakers have only won 3 of their last 10 games.

On Thursday, March 3, the Lakers look to score their first win of the season over the rival Clippers, who have won their previous three meetings. The game after that? None other than Green’s Warriors at Crypto.co Arena on March 5.
