Dallas Cowboys vice president Stephen Jones said he’s got full belief in Mike McCarthy delivering for this team.

The 2021 season turned out to be a disappointing one for the Dallas Cowboys. The team did win the NFC East, but Dallas totally blew it in the NFC Wild Card Round against the San Francisco 49ers. Just like that, the season ended for them.

Now, Dallas is ready to try and go on a deep postseason run in 2022. Some fans have already grown frustrated with head coach Mike McCarthy, but vice president Stephen Jones has given him quite the vote of confidence.

Mike McCarthy has the support of the Cowboys front office

“I think his track record speaks for itself. He’s won a Super Bowl,” Jones said via the Star-Telegram. “He’s been to championship games. I love the way his leadership style is. He’s got a great pulse for our football team and just feel like he’s the right guy for us.”

That quote really tells Dallas fans that the Cowboys are ready to back McCarthy for the long haul. While this team hasn’t been in the Super Bowl conversation, Jones has a strong belief that McCarthy is the right person to get this team back to the big game.

It goes without saying, but Dallas supporters have grown tired of the squad disappointing time and time again. There will be pressure on the Cowboys to step up next season, but things will surely be made more tough with Amari Cooper expected to be released.

It will be on McCarthy to rally his guys and get the best out of them. If you ask Jones, he has no concerns the head coach will be able to get that job done in 2022 and beyond.
