Former North Carolina standout Theo Pinson didn’t hold back in celebrating on Twitter after UNC upset Duke on Saturday.

Theo Pinson knows all about the rivalry between North Carolina and Duke. He was in the middle of things multiple times during his career with the Tar Heels. So, it shouldn’t be a surprise that he was fired up to see UNC upset Duke on Saturday night.

Not only that, it ruined the final home game for Coach K at Cameron Indoor Stadium. Pinson didn’t hesitate in taking his jubilation to Twitter after the final whistle, as he celebrated some not-so-happy faces for Duke fans in the process.

Duke supporters aren’t happy with Pinson right now, but he could care less about that. Pinson is more focused on his beloved Tar Heels silencing the countless Blue Devils fans who thought they’d cruise to a win over his alma mater. That didn’t happen, as UNC dominated the second half to record the stunning victory.

Pinson, now with the Dallas Mavericks, will always be loved by people in Chapel Hill, as he helped North Carolina win the National Championship back during the 2016-17 season. Pinson even dribbled out the time on the clock in the unreal National Championship win over Gonzaga that spring.

The hoops program means the world to Pinson and that won’t be changing in the near future. Whenever North Carolina is able to take down Duke, it’s going to put a big smile on his face. Saturday’s result is something that will be talked about for quite some time, and Pinson is going to enjoy it for a few days too. He’s most definitely not the only one who’s fired up to see UNC land the latest punch in the epic rivalry with Duke.
