The Denver Broncos pulled off a blockbuster move to trade for Russell Wilson and NFL fans are losing their minds on Twitter.
Aaron Rodgers’ $200 million contract is officially old news, with the Denver Broncos stealing the spotlight in a massive way on Tuesday. ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting the Broncos have landed Super Bowl-winning quarterback Russell Wilson from Seattle.
What in the world? Both Pete Carroll and John Schneider had stated Seattle wasn’t interested in trading Wilson, but they were clearly lying for weeks. From the moment the news dropped, there’s been an explosion on Twitter with people going nuts.
Seahawks fans are in agony with the Russell Wilson trade news
As you might have been able to guess, Seahawks fans are in serious pain. Wilson has meant so much to the city, helping the organization win its first-ever Super Bowl. Ironically enough, that win came against the Broncos.
You think we were bad this year…. Wait til next year @Seahawks fans.. we got worse. Trade an elite QB sounds smart….

Meanwhile for Broncos fans, they’re no question riding high. When the Rodgers news broke, people were trolling them left and right for missing out on him. Now, the Broncos have shut everyone up by getting Wilson.
The AFC West is loaded with stud quarterbacks too, as Wilson joins Patrick Mahomes, Derek Carr and Justin Herbert. This division feels like it’s going to be wide open next season, and Denver’s odds have skyrocketed now that Wilson will be running the offense.
Now, Seahawks fans will be waiting to see who the team’s next starting signal-caller will be. If it’s Drew Lock, who was included as part of the package for Wilson, then people will be calling for general manager John Schneider to be fired. All in all, this is a win-win for Denver.
