The Pittsburgh Steelers are among the teams interested in Aaron Rodgers — we know this — but NFL insider Mike Florio took things a step further.

As the Steelers search for a Ben Roethlisberger replacement, they’re exhausting all options. That has to include Rodgers, who is the reigning two-time MVP and the best quarterback in the NFL right now, depending on who you ask.

Despite his advanced age, Rodgers could still demand upwards of three first-round picks. If he tells the Packers he wants to take on a new challenge, they’ll receive a bevy of future assets. The Steelers can offer that and more.

Mike Florio: Steelers have spoken to Aaron Rodgers’ agent

On a call with 93.7 The Fan in Pittsburgh, Florio doubled down on his report and even took matters a step further. The Steelers have reportedly spoken to Rodgers’ agent, and told his team what they’d give up for his services should he request a trade to Pittsburgh.

“If he chooses to leave, it’s not about the money,” said Florio. “I think if he decides he wants to play for the Steelers it all falls together, it all works out. They already know what it’s going to take.”

Rodgers would be an excellent fit in Pittsburgh, just as he’d be a great fit anywhere. The Steelers have a solid defense and weapons for Rodgers to throw to upon arrival.

While Matt Canada’s system and the offensive line could use some tweaks, the Steelers have the salary cap room to address those concerns, especially with Rodgers in tow demanding them to do so.
