2022 NFL Mock Draft: Seahawks draft quarterback to replace Russell Wilson
By Brad Weiss
The Miami Dolphins plan to roll with Tua Tagovailoa as their starting quarterback in 2022, which means they need to go out and get him more weapons. They used a first-round pick on the wide receiver spot in 2021, bringing in Jaylen Waddle, and in 2022, they go the wide receiver route once again.
The pick this time is Christian Watson, who dominated the NFL Combine, and punched his ticket to the first round. This is a playmaker with speed and teamed with Waddle on the outside, the Dolphins have an explosive duo that could be a modern-day Mark Clayton and Duper before all is said and done.
At pick No. 29 overall, the Kansas City Chiefs should look to bolster their defense, though many believe they will go wide receiver this late in round one. The truth is, this class is loaded with wide receiver talent, and they could go that route later on, as they could not be able to pass up on Nakobe Dean here.
Dean is someone who could end up in the first half of the first round, and he would be an excellent fit on a Chiefs defense that showed some holes in the playoffs. He has the size and athleticism to play three downs at the next level, as well as come off the edge when needed.
