Alex Caruso of the Chicago Bulls says that he never received an apology from Grayson Allen after his hard foul left him injured.
Back in January, Alex Caruso of the Chicago Bulls lay down on the court with a fractured wrist. That injury occurred after he was hit with a hard foul by Grayson Allen of the Milwaukee Bucks, who has a history of committing dirty plays, dating back to his college days at Duke.
Caruso spoke to the media on Friday for the first time since the injury, saying that he has “no anger” towards the foul Allen committed, but noted that he never heard from the Bucks player.

"“I mean, he is who he is, I am who I am, people are who they are,” Caruso said, h/t K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago. “I don’t know him that well. The only thing I know is from past history and instances, so that’s all I can really go off of.“I really don’t know too much what you’re supposed to do in that case and situation in the NBA, if there’s unwritten rules about it. But I think people are who they are and you can’t really change that.”"
Regarding the play in question, Allen received a flagrant 2 foul and the NBA opted to hand him a one-game suspension. That was the second time Allen was called for a flagrant foul in his NBA career, the first time happening in a Summer League game in 2019, where he received two flagrant fouls.
As for Caruso, he was sidelined for a total of six weeks with his broken wrist. But on Thursday, March 10, head coach Billy Donovan revealed that Caruso was medically cleared for contact. Caruso was at the Bulls practice facility, participating in practice with his teammates.
Caruso revealed that he is “close” to making a return.
This season, Caruso is averaging 8.4 points, 3.9 rebounds and 3.9 assists while shooting 42.9-percent from the field and 34.5-percent from the three-point line.
