The Eagles need to hit on all three of their first-round picks in the 2022 NFL Draft. Here are the players Philadelphia should be targeting.

Having three first-round picks at their disposal gives the Eagles a lot of options heading into April’s draft. Philadelphia’s roster has a lot of holes to fill, but the team’s front office has a great opportunity to land three starters before Day One of the draft concludes.

Jalen Hurts’ future in Philadelphia might be an issue for some Eagles fans, but the franchise has done a lot of work to surround him with quality weapons. The team’s young pass-catchers might need time to reach their full potential but they have the requisite talent. Philly might use one of their first-rounders on a new weapon for Hurts but that shouldn’t be the team’s top draft priority.

The Eagles’ defense is where the majority of the team’s draft capital should be spent. Five of last season’s starters are slated to hit free agency including three members of the secondary. Edge rusher could also be an area of focus if Derek Barnett bolts for more financially lucrative pastures.

Ultimately, Philadelphia’s front office needs to prioritize talent over positional needs. This roster needs an influx of impact players. Here are five guys who can make that kind of impact for Philadelphia as first-round picks.

5. Lewis Cine

The Eagles’ final first-round pick is the No. 19 overall selection and even that might be a bit of a reach for Cine. He’s still a player worth considering for the Eagles since he can slot right in as an immediate starter at free safety.

Cine doesn’t have star potential but he’s going to be a quality starter for a long time. He can help provide solidity to the Eagles’ secondary right away. That might be worth the reach at 19.
