As soon as the Selection Sunday broadcast gets underway on CBS, there’s going to be countless Notre Dame basketball fans on the edge of their seats. After going 22-10 this season, Notre Dame is on the ‘bubble’ to potentially make the NCAA Tournament.

If you’re a fan of Notre Dame or Michigan, then that Richmond victory had to be disheartening. Despite that, there’s still a chance Notre Dame can make its way in. At this point, it really does feel like a coin flip on how things will shape out for them.

Fans were hoping that a strong run in the ACC Tournament would have helped increased Notre Dame’s chances, but they suffered a quarterfinals loss to Virginia Tech. Fortunately, the Hokies went on to take down Duke in the ACC Championship Game.

Throughout the season, the Fighting Irish have been led by the strong play of Paul Atkinson Jr., Blake Wesley, Dane Goodwin and Prentiss Hubb. Each one of those guys is hoping for some good news on Sunday, as they’d love nothing more than to keep the season going in the tourney. Notre Dame fans will find out soon enough what ends up happening.
