In March of 2022, Hamilton announced his desire to incorporate his mother’s maiden name into his own in an effort to honor her and that side of his family.

His mother, Carmen Larbalestier and his father, Anthony Hamilton, split up when the future champion driver was just two years old. He intends to add the Larbalestier at some point in the near future, though the exact change is no yet known.
