Washington Commanders quarterback Carson Wentz went viral for the wrong reasons in his introductory press conference. Yikes, what a jacket.

Wentz was undoubtedly surprised with how things ended in Indianapolis. But, he’s ready to take on a new challenge in Washington.

The Commanders missed out on Russell Wilson, who was traded to the Denver Broncos, so they acquired Wentz on the cheap as a backup plan. Wentz’s touchdown-to-interception ratio was a little misleading, as he also lead the NFL in dropped interceptions, and fumbled quite a bit. He’s the kind of quarterback who thinks they can make every throw, largely to his disadvantage.

Until proven otherwise, Wentz is the same player he was post-injury in Philadelphia. There’s a reason the Eagles won a Super Bowl without him.

Carson Wentz suit draws rave reviews

You can’t knock Wentz’s effort. The man knows how to make an entrance, and an impression, on Washington Commanders fans. At his first press conference, Wentz rocked a suit to match the team’s colors.

If Wentz prepares as well for his starts in D.C. as he did for his press conference, then perhaps the veteran QB is on to something.

For now, though, Commanders fans should proceed with caution. Wentz is very familiar with the NFC East, but the opposite could be said as well.

That might not work in your favor.
