The Cleveland Browns have officially announced the Deshaun Watson trade and plenty of people are not happy with the organization for the move.
After so much speculation about his future, Deshaun Watson is now a member of the Cleveland Browns. The Browns and Houston Texans pulled off their blockbuster trade earlier in the week, with Watson signing a new monster contact as well.
The Browns just announced things on Twitter, but to say plenty of their fans are upset would be an understatement. Watson had more than 20 women come out and accuse him of sexual assault, though charges weren’t filed after a hearing from a grand jury.

Browns fans are calling out the team left and right for the Deshaun Watson trade
What has people angry with the team is that they know there are still legal steps to be taken for Watson. Just because no charges were filed by the grand jury, this doesn’t mean that everything is just going to be put in the past for him.
Did that comprehensive evaluation process involve talking to the 22 women who've accused Deshaun Watson of sexual assault? Did it involve talking to the attorney?

Unless the Haslams did that, it's not comprehensive. It's selective - listening for only what you want to hear. https://t.co/96hD64PkOZ
I love this team but it hurts how much they hate women

Can you share what your research findings showed? And why you feel confident in deshaun watson’s character with 22 sexual violence civil suits pending. #browns https://t.co/radzoqwWLV

This decision was an avoidable catastrophe. Watson has too many personal & legal issues. What type of role model is he for the youth? The Brown's have been cursed ever since Modell bought the team.

Trade Watson or lose a loyal fan

OFFICIAL: Browns have lost a lifetime fan. Winning isn't worth being morally bankrupt, and this will come back to haunt you.
— Brian (@WxSpy) March 20, 2022
Lost a lifelong fan. I know many don't care. Just saying it so others don't feel like they're the only one. You're not alone.

So disappointing. How does Watson fit the Browns characteristics of tough, smart and accountable?

Those tweets above are only a small sample of examples of the reactions that have come in. A few Browns supporters aren’t happy at all, while there’s some who are supportive of Watson and are happy he’s the new starter.
With Watson now in town, the Browns will look to trade former No. 1 overall pick Baker Mayfield. Mayfield had plenty of ups and downs with the team throughout his career, but he just couldn’t deliver the way fans were hoping he would. Both the Indianapolis Colts and Seattle Seahawks feel like potential landing spots for him. For Watson, he’ll have to work overtime to try and fix his image in Cleveland.
