USMNT fans furious after Christian Pulisic misses easy chance vs Mexico

Getting a win at Estadio Azteca is tough enough against Mexico. Doing so when USMNT star Christian Pulisic misses an easy opportunity? Good luck.
Pulisic is Captain America, or at least that’s how the story is supposed to go.
Yet, the USMNT star missed an easy opportunity in the first half against Mexico that would’ve given the Americans a vital road goal in their quest to qualify for the World Cup.
Qualifying in CONCACAF didn’t used to be a big deal, but with the likes of Canada and Panama suddenly surging, and Mexico and Costa Rica remaining consistent, the USMNT is by no means guaranteed a slot.
Missing the World Cup for the second consecutive cycle would be disastrous. It’s unspeakable until it happens, and ought to induce more of a response than a Taylor Twellman rant.

Pulisic is listed as 5-foot-10, though reports suggest he’s closer to 5-9.

Pulisic had a chance on Mexico’s doorstep in the first half, only to shoot the ball directly at Mexico’s goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa.

The reaction from USMNT fans was not kind, as that’s an opportunity Pulisic is expected to bury. He has two goals in his last four appearances for Chelsea. So, why struggle at the international level?
