Here’s all the important dates in 2022 WNBA season

The WNBA season starts in just over a month, and there are quite a few important events throughout the season to keep an eye out for.
The 2022 WNBA season will feature many special events such as an All-Star game, contract signings and a championship game. There are a lot of events to look forward to, and they will be dispersed throughout the season. When will each special event take place?
When are the important dates in the 2022 WNBA season?
The first two events of the pre-season were on Jan 15 and Feb 1. These are when the WNBA Free Agency contract negotiations and signings began. For the rest of the season, the important dates to look out for are:
May 6: This is when the regular season begins. This will kick off the start of a 36-game season, and there will be four games total. There will be matches with the Los Angeles Sparks against the Chicago Sky, the Phoenix Mercury against the Las Vegas Aces, the Seattle Storm against the Minnesota Lynx, and the Indiana Fever against the Washington Mystics.
July 10: The AT&T WNBA All-Star game will take place this night. The teams playing and the time of the game are TBD.
July 26: This is when the Commissioner’s Cup Championship Game presented by Coinbase will take place. This game will feature the top teams in the Eastern and Western Conference based on stats through the first half of the season, and the winning team will receive a $500,000 prize.
Aug 14: This will mark the last day of the regular 2022 WNBA season.
Aug 17: Playoffs will begin. The teams and times of the games are TBD.
