Tiger Woods is the sun the golf world revolves around. So with his return pending for The Masters, everyone wants to know if he’s teeing it up at Augusta.

No one in the golf world holds the gravitas that one Tiger Woods does. When he speaks, everyone listens. When he plays, everyone is in awe. When he’s even on the course, fans flock to him. And all of that is amplified to 11 when you then throw The Masters, a major he’s won five times in his career, into the equation.

So it stands to reason that Woods’ status for the 2022 Masters has been a hot topic of discussion as he eyes a potential return to competitive golf for the first time since the car accident he suffered early in 2021 that causes him to nearly lose his leg and a lengthy recovery.

At 46 years old, though, Woods has been at Augusta National practicing and testing out his surgically-repaired leg on numerous occasions over the past week. Everything looks good. Everything looks optimistic.

But amid the optimism, there’s one question that remains: Is Tiger Woods going to play The Masters in 2022?

Yet, we don’t have any official word — but that may be coming. On Tuesday, Woods is scheduled for a press conference at 11 a.m. ET. It’s there that he’s expected to reveal a final decision. And then, we’ll have our answer so that the hype train can continue rumbling forward.

During his press conference on Tuesday, Woods was asked when he’d make a decision on playing. He wasn’t definitive but he said that, as of this moment, he feels he’s going to be teeing it up on Thursday.

He did add that he will play nine holes on Wednesday to test the leg once again but all signs are pointing to him playing. We will still wait for a more official word on Wednesday (or later), however.
