Philadelphia Eagles full 2022 NFL mock draft
By Nick Villano
The Philadelphia Eagles will sprint to the podium to announce Skyy Moore if he is available with this pick. The wide receiver has an insane amount of talent. He just knows how to get separation after he catches the ball. There are major question marks surrounding Moore that will allow him to fall to this position. His NFL Combine performance wasn’t the best. However, those drills don’t exactly explain his game. Moore is someone who can make moves from the outside to the inside after the snap of the ball. It allows Shane Steichen to get very creative with what he does with DeVonte Smith with Moore on the outside long term.
He does measure as a smaller wide receiver. He’s just 5’10 and 195 lbs. That will scare some teams from drafting him. In fact, his size likely has him off draft boards entirely. His talent is one thing, but you can’t teach tall.
Some NFL comparisons to Moore include Deion Branch, who was great for the Patriots in the early 2000s, and Christian Kirk. That’s the type of player the Eagles need on this team. They need reliability for Jalen Hurts to succeed. While Smith provides the chance to make a big play at any moment, Moore will make the play to get a first down. He will run to the sticks, catch the ball, and fall when necessary.
Moore would give the Eagles fans the offensive weapon they’re looking for in this draft, and it gives the team a chance to really build around Hurts. If it doesn’t work this year and they want to go for a quarterback next year, they will have two great receivers to build with a new signal caller.
