New York Giants Mock Draft – Fifth Round

player. WR. UCLA. 147. 31. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Kyle Philips

The slot receiver plays an important role in new head coach Brian Daboll’s offensive system and injury-prone Sterling Shepard is probably in his last year with New York. Grabbing Philips out of UCLA makes sense to provide depth in the slot and his added value as a punt returner is a nice bonus.

Jayden Peevy. 173. player. Pick Analysis. DT. Texas A&M. Scouting Report. 31

Adding depth along the defensive line is never a bad idea and Peevy would fill a need as a backup nose tackle behind David Moa. Peevy’s weight was a concern for the Aggies in 2021 but his ability to get to the quarterback against good competition with Texas A&M teases some potential as a versatile backup.

New York Giants Mock Draft – Sixth Round

RB. Ty Chandler. 182. player. 31. Scouting Report. North Carolina. Pick Analysis

The Tar Heels produced a pair of NFL running backs (Javonte Williams and Michael Carter) in 2021 and Chandler would be a good value pick here as a pass-catching back that can return kicks for the Giants. Saquon Barkley’s long-term future isn’t clear so New York could start building up its options for a potential running back by committee approach here.

New York Giants Mock Draft – Seventh Round

The Giants do not have a seventh-round pick after trading it to the Cincinnati Bengals along with defensive lineman B.J. Hill in exchange for center Billy Price.
