Atlanta Braves catcher Travis d’Arnaud had a hilarious reaction to getting plunked by Dee Strange-Gordon on Tuesday.

The Washington Nationals have had been in the news to start the season due to the amount of times they plunked various New York Mets players in their four-game series. On Tuesday, Atlanta Braves catcher Travis d’Arnaud can say he was hit by a pitch by a Nationals pitcher.

In the bottom of the eighth inning, d’Arnaud stepped up to the plate with a runner on first and second with a 14-3 lead. Washington had position player Dee Strange-Gordon on the mound for the inning. Strange-Gordon’s 52 mph pitch went wide and hit the catcher, who fell to the floor.

d’Arnaud sold that like he was trying to receive a Best Actor nomination at next year’s Academy Awards. The theatrics did get a laugh out of the commentary booth and the dugouts of both the Braves and Nationals.

The Braves defeated the Nationals 16-4 on Tuesday, avenging their 11-2 loss on Monday night. d’Arnaud finished the game going 3-for-5 at the plate while scoring 3 runs.

It is all good, everyone. d’Arnaud appears that he will be just fine.
