Has Clayton Kershaw ever thrown a perfect game?
By Mark Powell
Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw is one of the best aces of his era, but has he ever thrown a perfect game?
Throwing a perfect game is one of the most impressive feats in baseball. 27 up, 27 down. Not only that, but the pitcher is completely reliant on his defense to not have any errors on that perfect scorecard.
A high pitch count, or an error by his own defense can completely screw said pitcher out of history. It’s happened many times before.
Heck, sometimes the umpires can even get involved! Just ask Armando Galarraga.
Has Clayton Kershaw ever thrown a perfect game?
Kershaw has not thrown a perfect game, though he has come close. The Dodgers ace threw a no-hitter in 2014 against the Rockies, and carried a perfect game into the seventh inning. Unfortunately, Hanley Ramirez botched a ground ball, ruining Kershaw’s chance at further history. However, he did complete the no-hitter.
