Before Jordan Davis hears his name called in late April’s NFL Draft, he celebrated his status as a Georgia Bulldogs legend one more time.

Davis ran a 4.78 40-yard dash for NFL scouts, and has proven time and time again that he’s a freak of nature. Expected to be a first-round pick in just a few short weeks, he was honored again for his performance in Georgia’s National Championship-winning season.

This time, Davis threw out the first pitch at an Atlanta Braves game. Despite soon taking his talents elsewhere, Davis will always rep the state of Georgia, especially Athens. The title ‘National Champion’ is not something they can ever take away from you.

Considering his athletic achievements, we shouldn’t be surprised that Davis’ first pitch was a perfect strike.

Georgia football: Jordan Davis joins Braves broadcast

Davis joined the Bally Sports broadcast to discuss what the Championship meant to Georgia fans and the state as a whole. It’s been a busy year for Georgia sports fans, with the Braves and UGA taking home titles.

“Dawg Nation embraced me with open arms. And for that, I am forever grateful,” Davis said. “This is something nobody can ever take away from us. We are forever legendary. So to all of Dawg Nation, we love you.”

During the Bulldogs’ National Championship parade, Davis famously removed his shirt to reveal a Braves jersey. So, this ceremony was a long time coming.
