The New Orleans Pelicans and Los Angeles Clippers are going after the final playoff spot in the NBA Play-in Tournament and only one can move on.

This is it. It’s do-or-die in the Western Conference with the final NBA Play-in Tournament game set to tip-off.

The Clippers lost their first play-in matchup. Los Angeles fell to the Timberwolves, letting a six-point lead going into the fourth quarter slip through their fingers.

The Pelicans were victorious over the Spurs on Wednesday. They’ll have to win another game if they want to advance as the No. 8 seed.

For LA, the return of Paul George gives them hope, even if Kwahi Leonard is still unavailable. George had 34 points, seven rebounds, five assists and three steals against Minnesota.

New Orleans will continue to lean on C.J. McCollum, whose 32 points, six rebounds and seven assists pushed them past San Antonio. While the Clippers won’t have Leonard, the Pelicans will also be missing their star, Zion Williamson, because of a foot injury.

If either team wants to see those players back in action, they’ll have to buy them time by making it into the first round. A date with the Phoenix Suns awaits on Sunday.

Los Angeles is favored in the matchup at Crypto.com Arena but the outcome will come down to who wants their season to continue more.
