More details have emerged in Kelvin Joseph of the Dallas Cowboys’ possible connection to the murder of Cameron Ray.

Dallas Cowboys second-year cornerback Kelvin Joseph has a possible connection to a murder that happened in Dallas last month.

While Joseph is not a suspect in the ongoing investigation, the Dallas Police Department is trying to figure out what happened in the tragic incident that resulted in 20-year-old Cameron Ray losing his life last month.

The Cowboys released a statement on Friday about Joseph’s “possible connection” to the ongoing murder investigation.

"“The Dallas Cowboys are aware of the tragic incident that occurred in Dallas on March 18,” said the Cowboys in their official statement. “First and foremost, our hearts go out to Mr. Ray’s family and loved ones. The organization is aware of Kelvin Joseph’s possible connection to this incident. We are in contact with Dallas law enforcement and have alerted the NFL office. We have no further comment at this time.”"

On Saturday afternoon, the Dallas Police Department arrested Aries Jones (28) and Tivione English (21) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. These two were identified as the shooters resulting in Ray’s homicide from last month.

Joseph’s connection to the murder is that he was in the SUV in which the shots were fired out.

Joseph was a second-round pick by the Cowboys in the 2021 NFL Draft. The Baton Rouge native initially spent his first college season with the 2018 LSU Tigers before transferring to Kentucky where he played his last two years of college ball. After spending his first two months of the season on IR, Joseph finished with 16 tackles and two pass breakups during his rookie season.

The connection Joseph has to this investigation is from a necklace one of the people at the seen of the crime was wearing. The initials YKDV are part of Joseph’s rap moniker YKDV Bossman Fat. YKDV stands for “You Know Da Vibe”. Joseph is only seen as a person of interest in this ongoing investigation, as his attorney says he was only in the SUV from which the fatal shots were fired.
