Edwin Rios

A corner infielder, 27-year-old Rios is entering his last season before becoming arbitration-eligible in 2023.

With Justin Turner manning third and Freddie Freeman at first base, Roberts has been working to get Rios time in the line-up, even at designated hitter. He’s played in three games with ten plate appearances, hitting .200/.200/.200 with a +13 wRC.

Even with Roberts helping to get him into games, Rios will need to get some consistent playing time in order to build up his plate appearances as well as get some more time at the corner infield positions to be able to help Turner and Freeman down the stretch of the season.
