The Oklahoma Sooners unveiled a Heisman statue of Baker Mayfield, and it looks nothing like him.
Baker Mayfield may not know what his lies ahead of him in regards to his NFL future, but he did receive a great honor from Oklahoma University.
Considering that Mayfield won the Heisman Trophy in 2017, that meant the quarterback got to receive his very own statue at Heisman Park. Joined by fellow Sooners players who won the award in their college playing career, Mayfield’s statue was officially unveiled, and it looks nothing like him.

It’s the honor that truly counts.
In 2017, Mayfield played lights out football, as he threw for 4,627 yards, 43 touchdowns and six interceptions while completing 70.5-percent of his passes.Mayfield won the Heisman by receiving 732 first-place votes.
The team won all but won game in the regular season, but they earned a spot in the College Football Playoff. The Sooners faced off against the Georgia Bulldogs in what was a classic Rose Bowl matchup, but lost 54-48 in double overtime.
As a result of his play during his senior year and his work in the pre-NFL Draft process, Mayfield was selected first-overall by the Cleveland Browns in 2018. IN 2020, Mayfield led the team to the playoffs for the first time since 2002, where they won their first playoff game since 1994.
Mayfield is now waiting to see which team he will play for in 2022, as the Browns acquired quarterback Deshaun Watson in a trade this offseason.
