2022 NFL Mock Draft: Edge rushers dominate our final edition
By Brad Weiss
The Kansas City Chiefs hold consecutive picks in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft, this after trading away Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins. With pick No. 29 overall, they should look to add to their defensive backfield, especially the cornerback spot.
Kyler Gordon is a guy who many feel could sneak into the first round, and I believe he is the best Washington corner coming out this year. The Chiefs have to be elite in the secondary in a high-powered AFC West, and they get help here with Gordon.
Staying with the Chiefs, this is the pick that could help them get over Tyreek Hill, as they bring in Skyy Moore to their wideout group. Kansas City has brought some veteran talent in at wide receiver via free agency, but Moore is a long-term play here at No. 30 overall.
It is not like this offense is going to be lacking playmaking ability, as they still have Patrick Mahomes at quarterback, and Travis Kelce at tight end. Moore gives them another option in the passing game, which is scary news for the rest of the AFC.
