What college has the record for most NFL Draft picks of all time?
By John Buhler
It is only fitting that a college football blue-blood would hold the record for most NFL Draft picks of all time.
With the 2022 NFL Draft eminent, many faces from many familiar places will be lucky enough to hear the name called over the next three days.
With the Georgia Bulldogs expected to set a record for most players taken in a particular draft , Kirby Smart’s team is still a ways away from even being among the very best programs all time at getting their players drafted. They are not even a top 10 program in that regard. While this can change over the course of the next few years, the teams ahead of them are more accomplished.
These are the teams with the most college football players drafted all time.
NFL Draft: What college has had the most players drafted all time?
Though the USC Trojans are within striking distance at 516 players selected all time, the rival Notre Dame Fighting Irish should retain the top spot for another year. The Golden Domers have had 520 of their players drafted all time. They will be adding a few more players to that ledger this year, including a first-round lock in safety Kyle Hamilton who is probably going to be a top-10 pick.
Rounding out the top five entering the 2022 NFL Draft is Ohio State (473), Oklahoma (402) and Michigan (387). No. 6 though No. 10 in order are Alabama (384), Penn State (367), Florida (364), Nebraska (363) and LSU (359). With the Crimson Tide expected to be well represented in the upcoming draft, they have a shot to leapfrog Michigan and get into the top five if they are so lucky.
Look for Notre Dame to keep its spot with the most players drafted all time for another year or so.
