Alabama football may have an in with Pitt wide receiver Jordan Addison who is in the transfer portal and already catching passes from Bryce Young.

Now that Jordan Addison is officially in the transfer portal, it’s open season for schools trying to convince the Biletnikoff Award winner to join them.

Even before Addison made it into the portal, there was speculation that he would end up at USC with fellow DMV product Caleb Williams. The fact that he was rumored to be in Los Angeles this week only strengthened that thought.

However, Alabama may have an ace up its sleeve when it comes to enticing Addison to head to Tuscaloosa instead.

Could Jordan Addison be transferring to Alabama to play with Bryce Young?

On Wednesday, The Athletic reported that Addison is training with Crimson Tide quarterback Bryce Young.

Young is from the Los Angeles area. He played for powerhouse Mater Dei in high school. His being back home this summer makes sense.

Being able to hook up with Addison could open a huge door for Alabama, who could no doubt use a star wide receiver to boost their championship hopes.

The Crimson Tide made it to the title game with Jameson Williams and John Metchie III leading the way. Both of them have made their way to the NFL, leaving the receiving corps with questions at the top.

Alabama has recruited plenty of talent to reload in 2022 but there are no sure things quite like Addison. He’s coming off a 100-catch, 1,593-yard, 17-touchdown season. He’d instantly make the Tide offense an even bigger juggernaut than it’s been over recent years.

Addison is reportedly still contemplating a return to Pitt while USC, Alabama, Texas and Miami are rumored to be in the hunt.
