Packers: 3 games Aaron Rodgers will have to win with his arm
By John Buhler
1. Week 8: at Buffalo Bills (Sunday, Oct. 30)
Even if the Packers have a fairly navigable schedule, they do play three road games in a row once the weather starts to change with the middle date of that trio being at Orchard Park vs. the Buffalo Bills. Admittedly, this would be the Packers’ best win of the season if they were able to beat Josh Allen and his AFC juggernaut team in their place on Oct. 30 for Sunday Night Football.
While it could be a Super Bowl 57 preview, the Packers have not been to one since 2010 and the Bills have not won the AFC since Bill Clinton’s first term in office, so let’s pump the brakes a bit. However, a victory over Buffalo could serve as one of those marquee games that propels Rodgers and the rest of the Packers to go one another one of those magical regular season runs again.
Though Green Bay has some tougher games in the latter part of their schedule, this is the only one on the entire slate that the Packers would be lucky to win. Do not kid yourself. This one is more challenging than the late September road date at Tampa Bay. If the Packers do not want to get embarrassed by Allen, Rodgers has to step up to the plate and show him who is really in charge.
This will be a game where it may present itself if the winner of it is truly Super Bowl 57 viable.
