Sam Hartman may not be the top quarterback on most boards, but he is one of the most talented in this 2023 NFL Draft class. His moxy and ability to use his feet and arm to make plays are why we think he would make a great fit in Seattle.

Hartman would make an excellent quarterback for the Seahawks, and if he has another strong year as he did in 2021, his draft stock will soar. The redshirt junior decided to come back for another season which could shoot him up the draft boards.

Last year, he went 299-of-508 for 4,228 yards, 39 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions. Hartman completed 58.9% of his passes and averaged 8.3 yards an attempt. He recorded the most rushing yards of his career on the ground as he ran 117 times for 364 yards and 11 touchdowns.

While he only completed 58.9% of his passes, he was still a playmaker for the Demon Deacons. He put the team on his back and helped produce one of the program’s best starts.

Hartman did have 14 picks, but when you throw 500-plus passes, he could do a better job at that, but that has to be a big reason he came back to prove he can improve this stat. Plus, Hartman is growing more confident in his ability to use his legs.

He is a big reason Wake Forest started the 2021 season 8-0, and if he can improve that completion percentage and continue to come up big in the moments Wake needs him to, Hartman will be a hot commodity.

Hartman would fit in nicely with Seattle because of that playmaking ability and how he can get the ball to his receivers. His moxy and overall attitude are also intriguing because he plays with a chip on his shoulder and wants to prove himself.
