Arch Manning will make his first official visit, as he will check out Texas from June 17 to 19.

The next interesting domino in the Arch Manning recruitment has dropped, as the five-star quarterback from New Orleans has his first official visit lined up. He will be visit Texas again, this time officially from June 17 to 19.

Manning and his camp have kept things very close to the vest when it comes to his recruitment. While he has not officially ruled out anyone just yet, the three teams with the best chance to land him are Alabama, Georgia and Texas. Though Alabama has cooled off somewhat recently, it is important that Texas gets the first official visit with him. One would think the other two will follow.

June 17 will be his fourth visit to Texas, having visited Austin unofficially on June 12, 2021, Oct. 16, 2021 and March 24, 2022.

Thus far in his high-profile recruitment, Manning has made 18 unofficial visits to eight different schools (Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, LSU, Ole Miss, SMU, Texas, Virginia) and this upcoming first official visit to Texas, bringing the total to 19 in all. Texas is one of four schools Manning has visited since January, the big three in on him, as well as Virginia where his sister goes to school.

Though Manning may not use all of the official visits at his disposal, he is going to do more than just Texas. Georgia will get one, as will Alabama in all likelihood. While LSU could be in play for one with the new regime at the helm, don’t count on it. Expect for Alabama, Georgia and Texas to all get the same amount of consideration by Manning before he does make his decision for college.

Even if the college football world awaits where the next generation of Manning quarterbacking greatness will decide to play at, the Mannings have no issues taking things slowly. It may be a three-team race between Alabama, Georgia and Texas, but it may come down to the Longhorns and the Dawgs at the end of the day. Manning may make his decision before Labor Day arrives.

Texas does host Alabama on Sept. 10 in the second week of this upcoming college football season.
