The San Francisco 49ers’ All-Pro wide receiver comes off a career campaign. And versatile Deebo Samuel will be attending minicamp.

The NFL may indeed be a “quarterback league.” But the 2022 offseason has been more about the wide receiver than any other position the last three-plus months. Some of it has had to do about money. And that has led to some intriguing movement.

Davante Adams is now a member of the Las Vegas Raiders via trade. Tyreek Hill was dealt to the Miami Dolphins. Former Tennessee Titans’ standout A.J. Brown is now with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Amari Cooper went from Dallas to Cleveland. Baltimore sent Marquise Brown to Arizona. The Los Angeles Rams traded Robert Woods to Tennessee. And there’s been plenty of relocating via free agency.

San Francisco 49ers‘ wide receiver Deebo Samuel was the 36th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft by the organization. He inked a four-year, $7.247 million deal that summer (via Spotrac). He comes off an amazing year and has made his share of noise about wanting to be traded. And that’s something general manager John Lynch has no plans of doing (courtesy of NFL.com’s Kevin Patra).

But via NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the three-year pro will be with the team on Tuesday.

After putting up modest numbers his first two seasons, Samuel enjoyed a classing breakthrough year. He played in 16 games and made 15 starts and was targeted 121 times. He finished with 77 grabs for 1,405 yards and six scores. He add 59 carries for 365 yards and eight touchdowns.

The talented performer also kicked in 75 yards on three kickoff returns. And he ran for one touchdown and scored another via the air during the Niners’ three-game postseason run.

Next. Every NFL team’s greatest draft class. dark

While 49ers’ quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo has been excused from minicamp (via ESPN’s Nick Wagoner), Deebo Samuel is expected to be there. And that’s pretty good news for a team that relied on him heavily this past season and may have to again in 2022.
