The NBA playoffs have come and gone, but an important question remains: What are the top 10 power dunks of the 2021-22 playoffs?

The NBA’s 75th Anniversary season has drawn to a close with the Golden State Warriors hoisting their fourth Larry O’Brien trophy in the last eight years, the last team standing once again after the NBA’s four-round, two-month playoff jungle.

This year’s playoffs featured 662 total dunks according to Basketball-Reference. Not every one of those dunks was a power dunk, but plenty were.

10. Joel Embiid -— April 20, 2022

It’s Game 3 of the first-round series between the Philadelphia 76ers and the Toronto Raptors. The Sixers lead the series 2-0, but they currently trail the Raptors by five in the third quarter at Scotia Bank Arena in Toronto.

That’s when Joel Embiid slips through a pseudo screen on Gary Trent Jr. and heads to the basket. James Harden sends in a pass to Embiid, who only has a sliding-over-to-help Pascal Siakam standing between him and the rim. No dribbles are necessary as Embiid catches the pass and goes right into rising up on poor Siakam. Embiid powers straight through Spicy P, who is left bland on this play. Embiid brings down the hammer as Siakam flies backward. The goal is left shaking in the wind.

Some Raptors fans cover their faces in horror as announcer Kevin Calabro on the call gives us: “Ohhh! Bring it down! Embiid with a sledgehammer!”

And Brendan Haywood closes it out: “Oooo weeee!”
