AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door takes place on Sunday, June 26 at the United Center in Chicago, Ill. Here are the full live results and highlights for the show.

The day has finally arrived. Forbidden Door, presented by All Elite Wrestling and New Japan Pro Wrestling, emanates live from the United Center in Chicago, Ill. on Sunday, June 26.

While the show has been hit hard due to injuries and other circumstances, the show boasts a promising card featuring six title matches. Some of those bouts include Jon Moxley taking on Hiroshi Tanahashi for the interim AEW World Championship, Jay White defending his IWGP World Heavyweight Championship against “Hangman” Adam Page, Adam Cole, and Kazuchika Okada, and Pac vs. Miro vs. Malakai Black vs. Clark Connors for the inaugural AEW All-Atlantic Championship.

Jon Moxley wins interim AEW World Championship

AEW World Champion CM Punk was unable to compete with Forbidden Door due to being sidelined with an injury. Instead of vacating the title, an interim champion would be crowned in a match between Moxley and Tanahashi.

In the main event, both stars hit their finishing moves on one another, but to no avail. Moxley, who bled from the head in the latter portions of the match, stood tall with the interim title after hitting Tanahashi with the Death Rider. Now, he is on course to face Punk in the future whenever he does return from injury.

Jay White retains IWGP World Heavyweight Championship

In the lead up to this match, it was unknown who Jay White would defend his IWGP World Heavyweight Championship against at Forbidden Door. He had told both Page and Cole on the June 22 episode of Dynamite that they would not be his opponent. But after a brawl that saw Okada make his AEW debut, it was revealed that White would defend against all three at the supershow.

In a high-paced semi-main event, White successfully retained his championship. Okada attempted to hit Cole with the Rainmaker clothesline, but the latter ducked. White ran in and hit Okada with the Blade Runner, and then pinned Cole to abruptly end the match.
