What is Orange Cassidy’s new AEW theme song?
By Scott Rogust
Fan-favorite wrestler Orange Cassidy is set to debut a new theme song in All Elite Wrestling. What is the new theme?
The much-anticipated All Elite Wrestling and New Japan Pro Wrestling pay-per-view event, Forbidden Door, has arrived on June 26. One of the big title matches on the card features Orange Cassidy challenging Will Ospreay for the IWGP United States Championship.
Since March 2021, Cassidy walked his way to the ring to The Pixies’ song “Where is My Mind?” But, news surfaced that he would be getting a new entrance theme in AEW, but is one that those who watched him compete on the independent circuit are familiar with.
What is Orange Cassidy’s new AEW theme song?
Fightful Select (subscription required) broke the news that Cassidy’s new theme song would be “Jane” by rock band Jefferson Starship.
Cassidy teased on Twitter that he would “get something new” for his match with Ospreay.
AEW president Tony Khan noted last year that he did inquire with Jefferson Starship about getting the license to use the song, but that the band never replied to his email. Obviously, they have responded and they gave them the okay.
UPDATE: Cassidy did not walk to the middle of the ring inside of the United Center in Chicago, Ill. to “Jane.” Fightful Select reported in an update (in the link above) that AEW was hopeful to use the song at Forbidden Door, but they secured “about 95-percent” of the licensing and are waiting for full clearance before using it.
UPDATE (6/29/22): Cassidy officially debuted “Jane” as his entrance theme on the June 29 episode of Dynamite. You can see his entrance below:
