The Los Angeles Angels lost one of their relief pitchers for months due to injury as a result of the brawl with the Seattle Mariners.
The Los Angeles Angels-Seattle Mariners rivalry increased on June 26, 2022 after both teams engaged in a chaotic brawl that resulted in 12 individuals getting suspended by MLB. Now, the Angels have lost one of their pitchers as a result of the fight.
Angels head athletic trainer Mike Frostad revealed that Archie Bradley fractured his right elbow when he went to jump over the railing of the dugout. With this injury, Bradley is expected to miss at least four weeks, but he could potentially be sidelined for longer.

Bradley is not the only player to suffer an injury as a result of the brawl, as Mariners catcher Luis Torrens suffered a left shoulder sprain.
This season, Bradley recorded a 4.82 ERA, a 1.286 WHP, 15 strikeouts over 18.2 innings pitched (21 games).
The brawl started following the fallout of the June 25 game when Mariners closer Erik Swanson threw a pitch past Angels star Mike Trout’s head. The next day, Los Angeles pitcher Andrew Wantz’s pitch went past Seattle outfielder Julio Rodriguez’s head in the first inning. In the second inning, Wants plunked Mariners outfielder Jesse Winker, which sparked the brawl.
Los Angeles interim manager Phil Nevin was suspended 10 games for Wantz intentionally throwing at Winker after both sides were warned. Winker received a seven-game ban. Angels third baseman Anthony Rendon was handed a five-game suspension, which he will serve next season as he is out due to a wrist injury. That, and he is prohibited from standing in the team dugout for the next seven games at the time of the announcement. Wantz was suspended three games as a result.
