We cannot wait to see what Brian Kelly and his LSU football family will be all about this fall.

As a complete shock seemingly everyone, Brian Kelly actually left Notre Dame for the opportunity to lead the LSU football team this past offseason.

Kelly has won everywhere he has been a multiple levels of college football. He had Notre Dame in its best spot as a program since the peak Lou Holtz days. However, the Fighting Irish were always up against it when it came to seriously competing for national titles under the current landscape. For that reason, it was understandable why he left South Bend. Baton Rouge was calling for him.

If the Bayou Bengals have a strong first year under Kelly, they will have answered these questions.

LSU football: 3 major offseason questions the Tigers will have to answer

3. What other offensive playmakers will emerge alongside Kayshon Boutte?

While there are so many questions to be had with the Tigers offensively, wide receiver Kayshon Boutte is not one of them. He is perhaps the most talented player on the entire roster. With this being his junior year in Baton Rouge, odds are it will be his last, as he should be coming off the board rather high in the 2023 NFL Draft. As far as who else can make plays, that is up in the air.

One would think John Emery Jr. will be the leading rusher in the backfield after being academically ineligible last season. Noah Cain transferring over from Penn State could be a terrific playmaker as well. As far as the receiving corps is concerned, let’s keep an eye on players like redshirt senior Jaray Jenkins, as well as sophomores Jack Bech, Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas Jr. to break out.

The ground game had been Kelly’s bread and butter in South Bend, so that could continue at LSU.
