Former Giants struggling elsewhere: Kris Bryant

As if there could be a better option for the No. 1 spot on this list.

Kris Bryant signed a massive seven-year, $182MM contract with the Colorado Rockies once the MLB lockout was lifted, one that was met with a good deal of head-scratching — for good reason.

The 30-year-old former MVP has played in just 18 games for the Rockies so far this season and he has looked — like Sanchez — like a shell of the player he once was. Bryant has battled through injuries and has four doubles, zero home runs and just four RBI through his first 77 plate appearances on the season.

The four-time All-Star has a .269/.338/.328 line with just an 81 OPS+, failing miserably for his new club that had such high expectations for the slugger. As mentioned, he has been injured for a good chunk of the season and has only just returned from the injured list. It remains to be seen whether he is able to turn things around but either way, the Rockies are stuck with him for better or for worse for six more years.
