The 150th Open Championship is a hot commodity to attend, but can anyone get a ticket, and how expensive is it?

Tickets are still available for the 150th Open Championship, but what do the ticket prices usually look like for this event?

Are these tickets more expensive or similar to the other three majors?

This year’s Open Championship is a special one, with it being a monumental year, but the ticket pricing remains the same.

Fans can purchase hospitality packages before the tournament. Still, suppose someone finds themselves in Scotland this week. In that case, there are some reasonable prices on websites like FanSided’s partner TicketSmarter and other secondary sites to get you in the historic gates.

Open Championship ticket prices: How much does it cost to attend St. Andrews?

The best way to secure your spot at the Open Championship is by creating an account with The One Club that is free. It provides updates and everything to know about tickets for future events.

The cheapest day to attend the Open is Friday, with prices starting at $119. Thursday’s prices are around $131 per ticket. Saturday sees ticket prices begin at $137, which is still reasonable for fans.

However, the most expensive day is Sunday, when the 150th Open champion will get crowned. Those tickets start at $225 and go up from there.

Those are the cheaper options for the week. However, the ticket prices can get higher than that. The most expensive option for Thursday is $191. Some tickets have specifics on them for whether or not there are perks that come with that ticket.

Friday’s tickets may be the cheapest option, but they also have Links Pavilion, which includes a cash bar and food tent amenities for $315 per ticket, and there are even some general admission ones going for $500 each.

While the cheapest options for Saturday still seemed reasonable, there are tickets on there for $1,490 each — for general admission. They also had some options for the Links Pavilion for $348 each, but the weekend was far more expensive at the Open.

Sunday is a special day because a champion gets crowned, and everyone there gets to see it happen, which shows in these ticket prices.

Like Saturday’s highest option, Sunday has general admission tickets for $1,490 each. They range down from that, but still, it would be pretty expensive to go on the weekend.

The Open Championship is the fourth and final major of the year, and these ticket prices prove that people will pay a lot to see players take on Scotland and St. Andrews.
