Wednesday’s game between the Yankees and the Reds had to be briefly paused after a brawl broke out in the stands at Yankee Stadium.

There was Yankee-on-Yankee crime in the stands on Wednesday as New York took on Cincinnati.

The game had a “brief pause,” according to Bobby Nightengale of the Cincinnati Enquirer, because of a fight that broke out.

“This game has a little bit of everything,” Nightengale tweeted aptly.

Two videos from within the crowd show Yankees fans going at it for unknown reasons.

The action centered around one guy in a camo Aaron Judge jersey. He was sitting in his seat when a fan in a white Yankees jersey and backward cap smacked him in the face. When the camo guy stood up, the white jersey guy swatted his hat off his head. Then another man in a grey shirt threw a punch. Chaos ensued.

Security was able to break up the fight eventually. Those involved were likely tossed out of the stadium, though there’s no official word on that.

At least some of their punishment for fighting was missing the rest of what was a thrilling game.

New York fell behind 4-0 early, giving up three second-inning home runs, before the Yankees got things together in the third inning and took a 5-4 lead.

In the fifth, the Reds reclaimed their advantage. An eighth-inning Giancarlo Stanton home run evened things up again at six, forcing extra innings. Then in the 10th inning, the Yankees won on a wild pitch.

It was a crazy comeback with plenty to focus on on the field. The fact that fans were too busy getting belligerent with their own is pretty weak.
