St. Louis Cardinals analyst Al Hrabosky got his Rons confused on Bally Sports Midwest, alright.

During the postgame on Bally Sports Midwest, St. Louis Cardinals analyst Al Hrabosky confused Ron Jeremy for … Ron Burgundy?

While the former Cardinals relief pitcher frantically clears his search history before Sinclair takes a gander, let’s relive the greatest on-air mix-up in the short history of Bally Sports, shall we?

As St. Louis dropped the final game of its road series to the Cincinnati Reds 6-3, Hrabosky and his Bally Sports Midwest colleague Alexa Datt were discussing the crazy outfit Cardinals starting pitcher Miles Mikolas was wearing.

He had a cowboy hat on, which led Datt to suggest he is dressing up as a different character from the majestic Channel 4 news team from Anchorman.

With a cowboy hat Champ Kind would have been proud of, Hrabosky read the teleprompter wrong.

St. Louis Cardinals: Al Hrabosky confuses Ron Jeremy for Ron Burgundy?

While we should appreciate Hrabosky for trying to make the connection to the 2004 cinematic masterpiece, Datt could not keep it together for very long once the adult film star was accidentally mentioned. Don’t act like you’re not impressed with The Mad Hungarian’s culture references from the 1970s. We cannot wait for the music to start playing when he accepts his next Sports Emmy…

As Brian Fantana once said, they’ve done studies on this. When you mention a Ron with a mustache live on air, “60 percent of the time, it works every time.” Let’s be real. Only his pungent cologne that reeks of pure gasoline could make you cry faster than watching this clip from Bally Sports Midwest. With a trip to Toronto coming up, tears are streaming down Cardinals fans’ faces.

It is one thing to take a bitter rival’s mother out to a nice seafood dinner, but it is another thing to never call her again. She might be a saint, but what if she is a sinner? Forever trapped in a glass case of emotion, aren’t we all just waiting for our turns to make a wolverine purr? Milk might have been a bad choice, but it is not like the Cardinals’ corner infield stars make the greatest choices either…

You stay classy,

San Diego

St. Louis, as you’ve got yourselves an international plane ride to catch.
