The Chicago Bears defeated the Seattle Seahawks 27-11 to remain undefeated in the preseason. Here are three names who made their case to make the 53-man roster.

Week 2 of the preseason began on Thursday night, with the Chicago Bears traveling to the pacific northwest to take on the Seattle Seahawks. The week prior, the Bears defeated the Kansas City Chiefs. Now, Chicago is undefeated (yes we know it’s the preseason).

The Bears defeated the Seahawks 27-11 to improve to a 2-0 record. General manager Ryan Poles and head coach Matt Eberflus will have some questions to answer, as they will have to trim down the roster to 80 players by Tuesday, Aug. 23.

Here are three players who may have improved their odds of making the opening week roster based on their performance against the Seahawks.

3. WR Isaiah Coulter could be a help to lacking Bears pass-catchers

It is no secret that Chicago’s wide receiver room is far from stacked. Behind Darnell Mooney, who developed a rapport with starting quarterback Justin Fields last year, there is not much. They did bring in former New England Patriots first-round pick N’Keal Harry, but he is already sidelined due to injury.

When looking at Chicago’s passing game, the leading receiver on the night was Isaiah Coulter, the former 2020 fifth-round pick by the Houston Texans. Coulter recorded three receptions for a team-high 39 yards.

Coulter actually should have had more yardage and another catch on the stat sheet, as this play in the second quarter was ruled incomplete, and the Bears did not challenge it.

The Bears will need as much depth at wide receiver as possible, especially if they want Fields to take a positive leap in his second NFL season. Coulter could be a good depth piece for the Bears offense.
