The Seattle Storm host the Washington Mystics for a competitive battle as the WNBA Playoffs continue on Sunday at Climate Pledge Arena. Here’s how to watch.

The 2022 WNBA Playoffs have seen both unexpected upsets and predictable dominance, but the Seattle Storm series against the Washington Mystics offers neither.

These two are the most evenly-matched teams, or at least they were in Game 1 of the playoffs. Seattle came out ahead with a 86-83 game on Thursday, but the Mystics do have the personnel and potential to pull out a win in Game 2.

MVP candidate Breanna Stewart has powered this Storm team to this point thus far, but two-time MVP Elena Della Donne isn’t about to let the Mystics lose out all that easily.

Will Seattle move on in pursuit of a fifth championship, or will the Mystics increase their chances of winning their second? A pivotal Game 2 will decide that, which is what makes this nationally-broadcast game a must-watch.

The Mystics were leading in the fourth quarter of Game 1, and Della Donne has Ariel Atkins and Natasha Cloud to form a formidable scoring trio for Washington.

But Seattle’s offense has also been strong, especially toward the end of the season.

If the Mystics defense is able to hold Seattle and get ahead offensively, this could be a Mystics win and it wouldn’t be all that surprising. But considering the way the Storm was able to surge in Game 1, this one goes to Seattle — for now.
