The Atlanta Braves Triple-A minor league club shares good “perspective” on getting destroyed by Philadelphia Phillies slugger Bryce Harper.

The Atlanta Braves Triple-A club, the Gwinnett Stripers, shared some good perspective on getting destroyed by Philadelphia Phillies slugger Bryce Harper. The Stripers shared, “If you only count the at-bats by people with less than two National League MVPs, we would be tied. Life’s all about perspective.”

Harper has been rehabbing different injuries all season, but that hasn’t slowed him down at all. He was hitting incredibly as a designated hitter while he could in the majors this season, so it’s no surprise his rehab start success.

Injury isn’t slowing down Phillies star Bryce Harper

Harper is only getting better with time. This is his eleventh season in the majors and he hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down. This season, while never being in full health, he’s hit .318/.385/.599 for an OPS of .984. This is mostly better than his career average, aside from his on-base percentage.

Harper was sidelined with a fractured thumb for nearly two months, and Tuesday was his first time hitting against a pitcher in-game since. He homered in his first plate appearance in the Triple-A game.

The veteran sluggers Phillies teammate Bryson Stott shared his thoughts with NBC Sports Philadelphia. Stott stated, “That guy’s crazy. He’s something. Knowing him, he’s gonna want to be back as soon as he can. When he feels good, I’m sure he’ll be back, but he looked pretty good to me.”

Harper will undoubtedly improve the Phillies lineup when he’s back.
