ACC — Clemson vs. Pitt
The ACC is wide open in 2022, so this prediction is anything but straightforward.
The Atlantic Division is particularly tricky. Clemson has the most talent. NC State has the best quarterback with Devin Leary. Wake Forest had an argument for the best quarterback before Sam Hartman was injured. Florida State is always an intrigue. Louisville has a dynamic dual-threat in Malik Cunningham.
The Tigers were down last year, but it’s too soon to write them off after so many years of dominance.
Over in the Coastal, it comes down to Miami and Pitt. The Hurricanes could be set up to succeed under new head coach Mario Cristobal. The Panthers were exceptional last year but they lost Kenny Pickett and Jordan Addison. Can they recover? Picking between the two, Pitt gets the nod with USC transfer Kedon Slovis taking over.
When all is said and done, Clemson will reclaim their ACC crown.
